I am a seasoned Belgian Life Actuary and Risk Manager with an Executive MBA from Vlerick Business School and deep expertise in IFRS 17. Recognized as a thought leader in actuarial and risk management, I bring over 25 years of experience across insurance, banking, and consulting. I am available for senior roles such as Actuarial Function Holder, Chief Risk Officer, or Board Member.

My career spans actuarial, risk, and leadership functions at top institutions.

As Principal at Milliman (2012–2024), I managed the Brussels office with an entrepreneurial spirit, led Solvency II model validation, ORSA, and IFRS 17 implementation, including designing award-winning calculation engines on Milliman’s platforms. I also supported M&A projects in the Belgian insurance market and delivered international assignments. Earlier at KBC (1996–2011), I held roles in life product development, ALM, and economic capital management, strengthening my integrated view of financial and insurance risks.

Today, I work freelance as a Senior Consulting Actuary. .

Beyond my core work, I serve as a Non-Executive Board Member at CERA Global and Wooncoop, and have contributed to the Institute of Actuaries in Belgium and the International Actuarial Association, notably on IFRS 17 and risk management topics. With a strong grasp of both the technical and strategic aspects of finance and insurance, I specialize in translating complex actuarial and accounting concepts into clear insights for executive and board-level decision-making.
